Let your chi flow...

Went to Tasek Lama again this morning determined to get a better shot of the waterfall. Quite a challenge trying to photograph the mighty torrent as opposed to yesterday's little trickle. There was the usual Qigong crowd in front of the waterfall, and I ended up shooting more people than waterfall heheh...



For those who haven't been to tasek lama, I would highly recommend it, and if you go on the weekends, you can join in the free Qigong lessons. The Qigong master is really ROCK! He shares and shares his knowledge on how to practice Qigong for lifelong health so we don't end up "lembik" in our later years.

Makes sense, but easier said than done. We get so tied up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life that we forget to take care of our bodies...

Body scrub, Brunei Stylie...

Attended a friend's bedak mandi (pre-wedding ceremony which involves a blessing by close family elders and a cleansing body-scrub) ceremony this afternoon and it brought back memories of my own bedak mandi all those years ago. What fun, a free body scrub performed by several family members, watched by even more family members! More pics here . Short rant: During the Microsoft Vista launch , both of us went in "business attire" as stated in the invitation. While trying to photograph the guest of honour, I was approached by one of the more seasoned photographers who asked me where I was from. I said I was an invited guest who happened to bring my camera. This is what he said to me, "Mana baju kot mu? Kalau jemputan duduk saja. Kalau mau buleh pulang ku panggil AO ni untuk membawa kau keluar." Yes, very Bruneian indeed matey. You could have just told me that its a requirement for photographers to wear a suit in the presence of royalty. No need to bite my head of...

Taurean Mark III

Congratulations Mr and Mrs T on the soft opening of your third Taurean outlet at The Arch, Gadong. The AB gang has a long history with them. Da missus has been supplying the Superlicious ® Home-Baked Brownie Cookies that comes with all hot beverages at Taurean since they opened nearly seven years ago and we're also all members of the Taurean gang since Mr & Mrs T, Da missus and I are all Taureans.
